The film focuses on Tom Mullen, a multimillionaire airline owner, whose son Sean was kidnapped Maris Conner, a caterer at the Mullen’s party. Along with the kidnapping intent is a small-time law breaker Cubby Barnes, with Cubby’s brother, Clark and a high-tech crook named Miles Roberts. They brought Sean in an apartment for hiding. The Mullen’s obtained an untraceable email from the hostage takers and was demanding for a $2 million for ransom.

The Mullens asked for assistance from the FBI who then made their apartment as a working office. Detective Jimmy Shaker of the NYPD pursuing a robber at a convenience store wherein Cubby went in nervously and bought some FrankenBerry cereal for Sean. Being noticed by Shaker, he followed Cubby to a building wherein the kidnappers were hiding. Not knowing of the matter, Shaker is the one responsible for the kidnapping of Sean and he is lovingly related to Maris. The group where arguing over the plot wherein when they obtained the ransom money, they will kill the poor kid Sean. Being affected by his conscience, Cubby was planning in setting free the poor kid and saving him from death even thought their identity is at stake.
