Another movie released in 1995 directed by Mario Van Peebles was the Panther film.  It was the story of the Black Panther Party of Self Defense.  It was a film based on his father’s book Melvin Van Peebles.  This ranked 37 on the Billboard 200 and placed 5th on the top R & B and Hip Hop albums. The film was certified gold inducted last July 25, 1995.   The live action film Transformers created in 2007.  The film stars include Sam Witwicky played by Shia LaBeoufs this is the teenager who fought in a war between the evil Deceptions and the heroic Autobots.  This features two robots which can transform themselves into everyday machinery.  It was directed by Michael bay and was written by John Rogers and company.  Reviews say that the film Transformer was the 37th most successful film introduced which earned a gross of around US$709 Million nationwide.  It also bags awards such as Visual Effects Society and was nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, and Best Sound Editing.

Control is another type of movie a black and white biographical film about Joy Division singer no other than Ian Curtis.  The film was directed by Anton Corbijn that stars Samantha Morton as Deborah and Ian played by Sam Riley and Annik Honore by Alexandra Maria Lara.  This film won five British Independent Film Awards that includes Best Film, Best Director for Corbijn and the like.  It was also inducted as the Best Film at 2007 Evening Standard British Film Awards.
