As a result, almost every people started to mistrust both their family members and friends. Eventually, they found out that the said mass hysteria normally attacked whenever you’re at sleep. Soon, the entire base was taken over by the infected people, which were referred in the movie as pod people. With only few remaining humans, they attempt to escape place.

 

Later in the year 2007, this film was remade by James McTeigue and Oliver Hirschbiegel. This remake was entitled The Invasion, and it starred Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman.
