The award winning British drama series were created by Ann McManus and Maureen Chadwick. It was aired in 1999 and lasted in 8 series and 107 episodes in 2006. Oxford Prison was being used as an exterior scene in the series 1 to 3. In the series 4-8 the areas were built and construct to appear same as the replica of Oxford Prison because the area had been redeveloped as a hotel.
The story gyrated around prisoners of Larkhall, a mounting romantic relationship between Nikki Wade portrayed by Mandana Jones and a lifetime sentence prisoner who murder the policeman who tried to rape her girlfriend.
