About Apocalypse Now Memorabilia & Collectibles
“Apocalypse Now” was a successful movie released in 1979, which dealt with the Vietnam War. Francis Ford Coppola was the person responsible for it to be produced and directed. The film also starred Robert Duvall, Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando. Captain Benjamin L. Willard was considered as the central character, being the operations officer. He was an assassin forced to kill the traitor. He planned to do it along with Brandon, as played by Walter E. Kurtz.
The film’s screenplay was made by Coppola and John Milius, wherein the idea came from Milius who adapted the novel entitled “Heart of Darkness”. It was also drawn from the film version entitled “Dispatches”.
