One of the highest grossing movies of all time, this was a chart topper for nearly three weeks. The 3D fantasy adventure is filled with awesome design and some great acting. However for reviewers who have high expectations from Tim Burton, this movie certainly did not measure up to the humorous quality of his films. In fact it had mixed reviews. According to sources, the movie although a chart topper the movie was not all that exciting and Burton's latest hit is inferior to the childish Disney feature released much earlier in nearly every way. While some critics appreciated its "moments of delight, humor and bedazzlement" others found it murky and meandering. Other significant actors in the movie included Crispin Glover, Michael Sheen and Stephen Fry.
