About Aida Memorabilia & Collectibles
Aida is an opera that primarily consists of four acts and is based from a scenario of Auguste Mariette. The opera was performed in Cairo’s Opera House on the month of December 24, 1871, with Giovanni Bottesini as the conductor.
Furthermore, Elton John was personally responsible in its music composition while Tim Rice was on its lyrics composition. The opera premiered on the month of March 23, 2000 in Broadway as it ran the entire 1,852 performances. It also ran from 2002 until 2007 in the national tours in America and in twenty countries. Later on, the musical was performed in regional theatres, colleges, international productions and high schools.
In 2000, Aida was deservingly nominated in the Tony Awards for five consecutive times. It also won another four awards in 2000...
