Howard Stern: King of all Media

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Having grown up in New York City I have many fond memories of  Howard Stern.

Listening to him was refreshing because radio at the time had strong censorship and Howard would push the envelope in a controversial way.

He was born in Jackson Heights on January 12th 1954.

As the years went by he started having beautiful women as guests and always accentuated the sexiness about them.

Stern holds two notable records. One is that he is the most fined radio jock on the airwaves and secondly the highest paid.

He has been in a constant battle with the Federal Communications Commission and has fought for the right to speak freely on the radio.

He started out in Boston in 1975. In 1982 he paired up with his long time partner Robin Quivers and the rest they say is history!

I have always liked his combination of talking people into doing things they would normally not do, especially on a radio show that has millions of listeners, but also balancing that out with respect for the individual.

He is now able to be listened to on Sirius XM which is uncensored and commercial free.

Throughout the years there have been many Howard Stern memorabilia items. One new and exciting item is a air brushed Howard Stern signed guitar, airbrushed by one of the most acclaimed artist around.

Rolling Stones: The Ninth Wonder of the World

Monday, December 21st, 2009

If you have never been to a live concert of the Rolling Stones you are missing one of the most amazing performances known to rock music.

First of all, the band seems to be perfectionists at getting the sound and lighting at the highest level possible. They push the envelope in terms of special effects as well, with multi layered fog and color changing enhancement of the backdrops as well.

When I saw them last year at the Oakland Coliseum, it was an amazing thing to see Mick Jagger prancing around the stage, doing all sorts of acrobatics for an hour and a half!!

He certainly must have a rigorous exercise routine to be able to do that at his age. It is nothing short of remarkable and another remarkable thing is simply the fact that they can come out and do 30 concerts or more worldwide.

Throughout the years they have amassed a great amount of memorabilia, some of which is for sale at this site.

There are affordable Rolling Stones Memorabilia for someone starting out as a collector to high ticket items as well.

Next time, if there is one, don’t let them come to your town without experiencing the Rolling Stones Concert experience.

Would love to hear your experience, which can be posted here.

He will be touring with another noted musician and songwriter, Steven Winwood.

Clapton’s career spans almost a half a century, not quite but in a few years…

His modest but potent start was with the Yardbirds who had many international hits.

A new discography is being released, which will be the most comprehensive to date.

It will include concert footage, documentaries and music videos as well as an array of

Albums from his early start with the Yardbirds to present day.
