Well it’s been a while since I saw an Indiana Jones Movie, but I ventured out (along with millions of others) Memorial Day weekend, to see what was being served up.

I loved the old Adventures of Indiana Jone’s movies and the fact that this was a Spielberg/ Lucas production made my anticipation more intense.

In some ways I was disappointed and in other ways satisfied. I felt that I had grown accustomed to seeing really slick special effects and that unless some effect was innovative or really well done, I would be bored with it. Such was the case with the new Indiana Jones movie. I just couldn’t get too excited watching him going through his seemingly unbelievable stunts and mind boggling escapes from the perils he would get himself into.

Despite my criticism about being somewhat bored with the effects, I did enjoy the way the movie was done. The writing was tight, cinematography excellent and the direction of course was outstanding. It was also nice to see how well Harrison Ford aged and it was inspiring to see his ability to put so much energy into his role. All in all, I would have to say I enjoyed it and it was pleasurable spending two hours and forty-five minutes in the world of Indiana Jones.

Sex and the City is one of my all time favorite television shows.

I think one of the reasons I like it so much is that it is really a SEXY show.

There always seem to be an undercurrent of sexual tension going on even when the actors are not even talking sexy.

There have been many shows in a progressive way since the early seventies that have dialog and scenes that portray a much more realistic reflection of the times. Sex and the city though seems to go a step further.

Even though the show is “old” now, it is easy to appreciate the groundbreaking aspects of its presentation.

Of course having New York City as the location, lends itself to a myriad of complex sexual and relationship issues as well as being able to portray those complexities in one of the most modern, up to date cities in the world.

I own some signed Sex and the City memorabilia from the show and I treasure them highly.
