Rolling Stones: The Ninth Wonder of the World

Monday, December 21st, 2009

If you have never been to a live concert of the Rolling Stones you are missing one of the most amazing performances known to rock music.

First of all, the band seems to be perfectionists at getting the sound and lighting at the highest level possible. They push the envelope in terms of special effects as well, with multi layered fog and color changing enhancement of the backdrops as well.

When I saw them last year at the Oakland Coliseum, it was an amazing thing to see Mick Jagger prancing around the stage, doing all sorts of acrobatics for an hour and a half!!

He certainly must have a rigorous exercise routine to be able to do that at his age. It is nothing short of remarkable and another remarkable thing is simply the fact that they can come out and do 30 concerts or more worldwide.

Throughout the years they have amassed a great amount of memorabilia, some of which is for sale at this site.

There are affordable Rolling Stones Memorabilia for someone starting out as a collector to high ticket items as well.

Next time, if there is one, don’t let them come to your town without experiencing the Rolling Stones Concert experience.

Would love to hear your experience, which can be posted here.

Michael Jackson thank you

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

The two names Michael Jackson have most likely been spelled out several million times since his untimely death.

Volumes can be written about him due to so many factors but one that enables this more than others was his longevity as a star for so many decades.

Michael Jackson was one of the most unique individuals on this planet and if ever the statement that says “one marches to the tune of a different drum” it would most aptly apply to him.

His style, music, dance and lyrics implied individuality and would more likely than not point us in a new and different direction.

It is told by those closest to him that Michael was certainly two distinct personalities; one a shy, introverted, overly sensitive, giving compassionate human being and the other a ultra performer, taking every single person in the audience prisoner to his songs and dance.

Passionately and tirelessly performing in what seemed beyond human capabilities.

The energy he exuded must have originated from a higher source than most of us have access to.

If we are to be honest with ourselves I think we can admit that when he was undergoing his criminal charges we had many doubts about his character. I think many of us abandoned him

and dismissed him as a freak.

I felt the  same way at the time. Now that so many more personal stories have come out, it helped form for me a clearer picture of who the man really was.

And the conclusion I personally have drawn is that on the personal side of his nature he was truly childlike and innocent, compassionate and giving, and if we can quote a very famous deity didn’t he say “lest you become like children again you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven”?

Naturally, there will be an enormous interest in signed Michael Jackson memorabilia.

Thank you so much for the many joyous and memorable times.
