Thurl Ravenscroft was not only known for being an American singer but also as a voice actor. He had his booming and deep voice that marked the minds of all people. For almost fifty-three years, he is known best as “Tony the Tiger’s” voice. That was in all of the 500 commercials for Frosted Flakes.
As part of his singing career, he was the vocalist that must be credited for the creation of the song “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”. It was a song dedicated for the classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” This is a Christmas special in television that was patronized by almost all people.
This television special is mixed with animation in the year of 1966 under the direction of Chuck Jones. It was actually based on the children’s book of Dr. Seuss. The story was all about “The Grinch” who was really trying to take Christmas away on Whoville’s townsfolk. This special is yet considered only as a short film run not less than an hour. This is included to almost few Christmas Specials in the 1960s that is still seen regularly during Christmas on television.
