As a self-described tomboy in her teens, Suzy Parker had gone a long way to prove herself as an American model and actress. Her reigning years from 1947 to early 1960’s had lauded her with a career to cover in several magazines and advertisement as well as to both film and television. Parker was even the first ever model to earn $100,000 annually. She was the top billed or the highest paid model at one time with $2000 per hour.
Parker being called as the “original supermodel” according to sources, her career also blossomed in film and movies. Her acting debut was in the film “Funny Face” in 1957 along with Fred Astaire with the Astaire, Fred 5x3 signature strip and Audrey Hepburn with the Hepburn, Audrey 5 14x3 12 signature strip. Other film and television credits of Parker includes “the Twilight Zone, Tarzan TV series and Kiss Them for Me.
Suzy Parker was also married three times. The first marriage was accounted to a childhood sweetheart in the 1950’s. Her second marriage was to a journalist Pierre de la Salle which she bore a daughter she named Georgia Belle Florian Coco Chanel de la Salle. Parker’s found her last marriage in the arms of actor Bradford Dillman with the Dillman, Bradford autographed index card while shooting their movie, Circle of Deception. Parker and Bradford had three children from their 1963 marriage after granted with a divorce from her then marriage with de la Salle.
Suzy Parker died at the aged of 70 on May 3, 2003 after spending over five years getting in and out of hospital until she decided to end dialysis treatments.
