Arthur Stanley Jefferson was popular as his Hollywood name of Laurel, Stanley. He was born on June 16, 1890 in grew up in his grandparents. His parents are both active in theaters that is why appearing in various TV shows and films for Stan was an innate talent. Although he did not live in his parent’s house, he still trained through enrolling theater school.  He spent his teenage life in King 1 Grammar School and accomplished his education at Rutherglen Academy. After graduating, his parents volunteered him to become one of the casts in the Glasgow’s Metropole Theater. He started his regular acting career when he performed Glasgow stage play as the Britannia Panopticon. Appearing in various plays, he alongside with Alice and Baldwin Cooke.

His first appearance was in short film “the Lucky Dog”, wherein he co-starred with Oliver Hardy. After several movies, he then met Mea Dahlberg who was his partner in notable films like “Mud and Sand”. Because of long time in making films, he decided to join Hal Roach and started directing movies.

 

Leonard Frey is also a popular Hollywood actor. He was also known as one of the remarkable actors when it comes to comedy and action films. Aside from being a great actor, he also recognized as a writer and film producers. One of his films was “The Fiddler on the Roof” where he co-starred with Molly Picon and Topol.
