His career began in 1957 with a part in the movie No Road Back in which he played Spike. In the same year he also landed parts in three other movies: Hell Drivers, Action of the Tiger, and Time Lock. Even though the roles he was given weren’t the most important, his career really began to form through these smaller parts.

Just five years later, Connery would score his first starring role in the movie Dr. No in which he played James Bond who is sent to Jamaica to investigate the death of a fellow worker. He would go on to star in six more in the James Bond series. After the James Bond movies, Connery starred in The Untouchables, a movie that won him various awards, including Best Supporting Actor. In the movie he had time to work with Kevin Costner, Robert De Niro, and Patricia Clarkson.
