Lee Majors is known more for his television roles than his filmy career. Born in 1939, this 71 year old American actor has done about six films. According to sources, he was a football player till his college days. Later, he attended Dick Clayton’s acting school for a year. He was 25 when he bagged his first role in John Crawford starrer “Strait-Jacket”.

 

Majors’ role as Heath Barkley, the illegitimate son of Barbara Stanwyck’s husband in “The Big Valley” made him famous. He had outscored as many as 400 actors for the role that was aired on ABC. He also did the lead role in a film that was broadcasted by ABC named “The Ballad of Andy Crocker”. He was also a part of the popular television series “Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law” hosted by the ABC in which his then girlfriend Farrah Fawcett  made a guest appearance. He later married her and they became one of the most celebrated couple in Hollywood and their pictures were on every magazine cover. Later, when he ventured into directing in 1975, he made it a point to cast his wife Farrah in one of the episodes.     Lee Majors first feature film was “Will Penny” with Charlton Heston. He was a co-starrer in the movie. He went on to make guest appearances in many movies later. “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde” (2010) is the latest movie where he has made a cameo appearance. According to reports, he had married three women before Faith Majors, an actress and model whom he married in 2002.
