Kevin Costner is an American movie actor, an awarded director and producer. He became so popular with his movie Waterworld and with his character role in Dances With Wolves as Lt. John J. Dunbar as well as in his other well-known films JFK as Jim Garrison and in Field of Dreams as Ray Kinsella. Kevin was born on January 18, 1955, as Kevin Michael Costner, in Lynwood California. Kevin Costner is an American movie actor, an awarded director and producer. He became so popular with his movie Waterworld and with his character role in Dances With Wolves as Lt. John J. Dunbar as well as in his other well-known films JFK as Jim Garrison and in Field of Dreams as Ray Kinsella. Kevin was born on January 18, 1955, as Kevin Michael Costner, in Lynwood California. His parents are Sharon Rae Tedrick and William Costner. In 1978, Kevin finished his Business Administration course at the California State University, Fullerton. In his college days, he was the president of the Delta Chi Fraternity and it was when he met his first wife Cindy Silva to whom he married immediately after his graduation. Kevin took the job as a marketing executive and at the same time, he started to take acting lessons during weekdays which career move was supported by his wife. However, he quit his marketing job within 30 days so he had to take a job in fishing boats, also as a truck driver and as a tourist guide of Hollywood stars’ homes just to sustain himself and his wife while he had to undergo auditions.

At 19, Kevin had his first movie in 1974 Sizzle Beach, U.S.A. which was released only in 1986. That was only after he made it into stardom. In 1982, he was given minor roles in the movie Night Shift by Ron Howard. In the following year, he had a commercial for Apple Lisa. Also in 1983, he had a minor role in the movie Testament. Thereafter, he continued to appear in some movies with minor extra roles although improving to a number of several scenes. He was promised by his friend and director Lawrence Kasdan for a better role in future projects and that came in the movie Silverado in 1985. Among of his popular movies are The Untouchables, No Way Out, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Dances with Wolves, Revenge, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Bodyguard, A Perfect World, Wyatt Earp, Waterworld, The Postman, Tin Cup.
