In 1998 when Harnett was introduced in the big screen as he portrayed the role as “John Tate” with Jamie Lee Curtis, Adam Arkin, and Michelle Williams in the horror film “Halloween H20: 20 Years Later”. It was a blockbuster hit in the box-office and the start of his steady career in the silver screen. In the same year he made another horror film featuring an all-star cast of the movie “The Faculty” directed by Robert Rodriguez. Harnett earned nominations from MTV Movie Award for Best Male Performance and Teen Choice Award for Choice Actor as he portrayed as Capt. Danny Walker in the 2001 war film “Pearl Harbor”, together with great actors and actresses like Ben Affleck, Alec Baldwin, Kate Beckinsale, Jon Voight, and Jennifer Garner. He then also worked with Eric Bana, Ewan McGregor, and Orlando Bloom in another war movie “Black Hawk Down”.
