Born on February 18, 1954 from a mix Italian and Irish American parents, John Travolta is an accomplished actor, dancer and singer. He first appeared on the television series Welcome Back Kotter in the 1970’s and became famous when he starred in the successful box office hit Saturday Night Fever and Grease. These two films were the most talked-about film of the decade and brought Travolta to international stardom and earned him Academy Award Nomination for Oscar. . Because of his performance, the Chicago Film Critics and the Santa Barbara Film Festival gave him a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition for his role.
Aside from being a successful actor, John Travolta also currently holds 10 jets licenses. 747, Gulfstream II, Vampire Jet and Canada Air CL-141 jet, to name a few. The 707 aircraft bears the name jett clipper Ella in honor of his children. He flew this jet to New Orleans after the 2005 Hurricane disaster bringing food and medical supplies and lately, to Haiti after the earthquake carrying some supplies, doctors and volunteers.
