The Honeymooners is a comedy film which is based on a hit TV series in the 1950s. The story evolves around best buddies Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton. Ralph is a bus driver and Ed is a sewage worker. Both are constantly coming up with schemes for getting richer quick and would have wanted to buy for their respective wives, Alice and Trixie, their ideal homes in their ideal neighborhood. On the other hand, Alice and Trixie are working in a neighborhood restaurant to support their husbands plan. Among of their schemes are racing, lotteries as well as metal detecting. The movie was released on June 10, 2005 in the US. It was written by Barry Blaustein, Danny Jacobson, David Sheffield and Don Rhymer. Direction was made by John Schultz. It is being starred by Cedric the Entertainer who acted as Ralph Kramden, Mike Epps as Ed Norton, Gabrielle Union as Alice Kramden and Regina Hall as Trixie Norton. Along with them are, among others, Eric Stoltz, Jon Polito, John Leguizamo, Carol Woods, Ajay Naidu, Arnell Powell. It was produced by Cedric the Entertainer himself, Julie Durk, Mike Epps, David Friendly, Niles Kirchner, Paul Myler, Eric Rhone, Hal Ross and Marc Turtletaub. The film’s original music was by Richard Gibbs while the cinematograph was by Shawn Maurer. It has received two nominations. One from the BET Comedy Award in 2005 for Gabrielle Union for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Theatrical Film category and the other is from the Black Movie Awards for Cedric the Entertainer for the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.
