.Holm made his debut through the BBC production in 1965 in the “War of the Roses”. Holm also won a BAFTA award as a supporting actor for the movie BOFOR’s Gun and had several more nominations and awards to add to his career. Some of his popular roles were Sam Mussabini in Chariots of Fire, and Vito Cornelius in Fifth Element. He also acted as Bilbo in “The Lord of the rings and the return of the Kings”. Holm’s dream was to win the Laurence Olivier Award which he finally did in 1998 as the best actor in King Lear. The Lord of the Rings and the return of the King are special because he had two roles in common with Orson Bean who played Mr. Frodo. Holm then played Frodo on BBC radio. And Bean played Bilbo in The Hobbit.
