About Frankie Avalon Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles
Frankie Avalon was one of the most popular teen celebrities who have a huge background in music during the fifties and sixties. According to many showbiz critics, he knows how to play the trumpet at a young age as taught by his father. His career began when he was simply discovered by a talent scout in a party that he was in at that time. He first appeared on the television show of Jackie Gleason
and by 1954, he already recorded on a local label. He was in a band with another popular teen singer then, Bobby Rydell.
By 1960, his acting career started as his recordings went down. He was in small parts which included the one in The Alamo with John Wayne. But his very first lead role was for Drums of Africa. He was paired up eventually with Annette Funicello for Beach Party along with the sequels that came in after that. The films they made together became so much of a hit especially for the teenage audience. Just like Frankie and Annette, you can find a lot of teenage modern day team ups here and their hard to find merchandise items like Zac Efron
memorabilia, Vanessa Hudgens
pictures, Cory Monteith collectibles and many more.
When the eighties came, Frankie was reunited with Funicello for Back to the Beach homage film and even became a part of the oldies show called The Golden Boys of Bandstand. He still makes some personal appearances most of the time for his mentor Dick Clark.
