Brandon then moved to New York City in 1999, to concentrate on his movie career. He got a break and appeared in Christina Aguilera’s music video for the song ‘What a girl wants’. He was cast in the television series ‘Odd Man Out’ and later on in the soap ‘Undressed’ for MTV’s late nights. He came back with ‘Gilmore Girls’ and another series ‘One Life to Live’. He has made an appearance in ‘Will & Grace’ with Rip Torn.

Finally in 2004, the reason for which Brandon had entered the show business was answered and he was selected to appear as Superman in ‘Superman Returns’. He had to bulk up his figure and put on 22 pounds to get the right image as required by the makers. According to sources, he hired a movement coach to help him with body language to portray the character more thoroughly.

Although the movie did not break box-office records, Brandon received good reviews on his performance. In 2006, he also won the ‘Best Superhero’ in the Spike TV awards. With the series ‘The Batman’ in the same year, he appeared along with another actor Robert Patrick.

His other movies include ‘Life is Hot in Cracktown’ and ‘Fling’. Brandon married his girlfriend Courtney Ford in November 2007. He is currently working on ‘The Walking Dead’ the series since April 2010.
